Terms of Service

The Weebu Messenger Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of Weebu Messenger, except where we expressly state that terms other than those described herein apply.

They also provide information about the Weebu service, hereinafter referred to as the “Service” and detailed below.

When you create a Weebu account or when you use Weebu, you accept all the conditions, here is a summary of the contract we formalize:

We make it possible for you to communicate with other users of the Weebu service by means of messages, audio, video calls and video chats, by sending images and files and documents, and through activities and events organized on Weebu.


We do not charge you for using our services. You are responsible for your wireless carrier’s data plan, Internet fees, and other fees and taxes associated with your use of our messaging services. You may purchase services that enhance your communication experience.

Duration, renewal and termination

You can stop using our services at any time for any reason. To do so, delete your account. We may modify, suspend or terminate your access to or use of our services for the reasons described in these Terms of Service.


If you want to obtain more information that the European Electronic Communications Code requires us to provide, you can consult the European Electronic Communications Code.


1.- The Weebu Service. –

We agree to provide you with the Weebu Service, which includes all the products, features, apps, services, technologies and software we offer to fulfill Weebu’s mission: to bring you closer and connect you to people and things. The Service consists of the following aspects:

Offer personalized opportunities to create, connect, communicate, discover and share. Everyone is different. That’s why we offer different types of accounts and features so you can create, share and consolidate your presence, and communicate with people both inside and outside Weebu. We also want to strengthen relationships with shared experiences of interest. So we create systems that try to understand who or what you and others are interested in, and we use that information to help you create, find, join and share experiences that are relevant to you. Part of this involves highlighting content, features, offers and accounts that you might be interested in, and offering you ways to experience Weebu based on what you and others are doing both inside and outside of Weebu.

Promoting safety, integrity and security. – We develop and use tools and offer resources to our community members that contribute to positive and inclusive experiences, including when we believe they may need help. We also have teams and systems in place whose job it is to combat abuse and violations of our Terms and Policies, as well as to combat harmful and deceptive behavior.

Develop and use technologies that help us to continually serve our growing community. – Organizing and analyzing information from our community is fundamental to our Service. A large part of our Service is to create and use cutting-edge technologies that help us personalize, protect and improve our Service on a large scale for a broad international community. Technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning give us the power to apply complex processes across our Service. Automated technologies also enable us to ensure the functionality and integrity of our Service.

To provide complete and efficient experiences across all Weebu Messenger Products, outside of your contract with us – Weebu is part of Weebu Messenger Ltd. products, which share technologies, systems, statistics and information, including data we have about you, to provide services that are better and more secure. We also offer ways to interact across all of the Products you use and provide systems designed to provide a seamless and uninterrupted experience across those Products based on the options you choose.

Communicating with you. – We may need to send you communications, such as emails or in-product notices, to respond to you or inform you about product-related issues, research, or our terms and policies.

To ensure access to our Service. – To operate our Service internationally, we must store and transfer data between our systems around the world, including those that are not in your country of residence. It is necessary and essential to use this international infrastructure to provide our Service. This infrastructure may be owned or operated by Weebu Messenger Ltd. or its affiliates.

Connect you with brands, products and services in all the ways that are relevant to you. – Subject to the options and settings you choose, we use information from Weebu, any other Weebu Messenger Ltd. product and information from third party partners to personalize your experience on the platform. We also try to make this content as relevant to you as the rest of your Weebu experience.

Develop and improve Weebu Messenger Ltd. products – We use the information we have to develop, test and improve our Service and collaborate with others in research that allows us to improve it and contribute to the welfare of our community. This includes analyzing the information we have about our users and understanding how people use our Services, this may include, among other things, conducting surveys, testing new features… etc.

2.- How our Service is financed. –

You can use the Service for free with ads or subscribe to use it without ads:

If you choose to use the Ad-Free Service, you allow us to show you advertisements that businesses and organizations pay us to promote their products both inside and outside of Weebu Messenger.

If you choose to subscribe to use our ad-free Products, you will not see advertisements from us and we will not use your data for advertisements. Before you complete the purchase, you will be provided with details about the price, currency and payment period of the ad-free subscription.

If we show you ads on our Products, we show you relevant and useful ads without revealing your identity to advertisers. In no case do we sell your information. Advertisers tell us about aspects such as their business objectives or the type of audience they want to see their ads, among others, and in this way, we show your ad to the people we think might find it relevant.

In addition, we provide advertisers with reports on the performance of their ads to help them understand how people interact with their content, both on and off Weebu to better understand their audience. We do not share information that identifies you such as your name or email address, phone number… etc. that can be used to contact you or identify you, unless you give us your express permission.

You may notice account holders posting branded content on Weebu promoting products and services based on a business relationship with the business partner mentioned in the content.

You can upgrade your level of service on Weebu by purchasing packages that will give you access to more interaction with other accounts and improve your level of access to Weebu Messenger products.

In no case shall the operation with respect to the information and conditions of the service be modified.

3.- Privacy Policy. –

To provide our Service, we must collect and use your information. In our Privacy Policy we explain how we collect, use and share your information.

4.- Your commitments.

We are committed to providing you with the Service on all Products, but you are required to make all of the following commitments:

Who can use Weebu – We want our Service to be as inclusive and open as possible, but we also want it to be safe and compliant with the law. To that end, you must agree to abide by certain restrictions in order to be part of the Weebu community:

You must be at least 14 years old.

You should not be prohibited from using any aspect of our Service under applicable laws or from using payment-related services if you are on the respective denied parties list.

We must not have previously disabled your account due to a violation of law or any of our policies.

You must not be a convicted sex offender.

4.2.- How you can’t use Weebu – Offering a secure and open Service for a large community requires that we all do our part and above all respect the following points:

You may not impersonate any other person or provide incorrect information – Your public profile does not require you to disclose your identity, however, you must provide us with accurate and up-to-date information, including registration information, which may require you to include personal information. Also, you may not impersonate another person or entity or create an account on behalf of someone else unless you have their express permission or authorization.

You may not engage in illegal, deceptive or fraudulent activities, or activities for illegal or unauthorized purposes.

You may not violate these Terms or any of our policies, or assist or encourage others to do so.

If you publish branded content, you must comply with the corresponding rules.

You may not engage in activities that interfere with the Service or prevent it from functioning as intended. – This includes misusing reporting, dispute or appeals channels by submitting fraudulent communications.

You may not attempt to create accounts or collect or access information without authorization – This includes creating accounts or collecting information in an automated manner without our express permission.

You may not sell, license or buy accounts or data you have received through us or our Service – This includes attempting to buy, sell or transfer any aspect of the account; requesting, collecting or using badges or login credentials from other users; requesting or collecting Weebu passwords or usernames; or taking ownership of access tokens without permission.

You may not post another person’s private or confidential information without permission or take actions that infringe on the rights of others, such as intellectual property rights. – You may use the works of others in accordance with any exceptions or limitations to copyright and related rights under applicable law. You represent that you own or have obtained all necessary rights to the content you post or share.

You may not modify or translate our products or their components, nor may you make derivative works or reverse engineer them.

You may not use a domain name or URL in the username without our prior written consent.

4.3.- Operating rules.

We want Weebu to be an authentic and safe place where users can find inspiration, express themselves and enjoy in community. Help us to foster this community in a healthy and respectful way, by way of summary, post only your own photos and videos, comply with the law at all times, respect all users and do not spam or post nudity. To know:

Weebu is a reflection of our diverse community of cultures, ages and beliefs. We spend a great deal of time considering the different factors that contribute to creating a safe and open environment for everyone.

We created the Community Guidelines so that you can help us promote and protect that environment. By using Weebu, you agree to all Terms of Service and rules governing our user community. Failure to comply with these rules may result in content removal, account disabling or other restrictions.

In some cases, we allow public awareness content that would otherwise violate our standards if it is newsworthy and relevant to the public. However, we first analyze its public interest value, assess the risk of harm and make a decision based on international human rights standards.

Share only photos and videos that you have taken or recorded, or that you have the right to share. You are the owner of the content you post. Remember to post authentic content; don’t post anything you copied or found on the internet that you don’t have the right to post.

Post photos and videos that are appropriate for a diverse audience. We realize that some people may want to share nude images of an artistic or creative nature; however, for a variety of reasons, we do not allow them to be posted, this restriction applies to photos, videos and certain digital content that depict sexual acts, genitalia and close-ups of fully exposed buttocks. It also includes photos of uncovered female nipples, but images are allowed in the contexts of breastfeeding, childbirth and postpartum, in health-related situations, breast cancer awareness or sex confirmation surgery or as an act of protest. Nudity is also acceptable in photos of paintings and sculptures.

Although people like to share photos or videos of their children, for safety reasons, we may on occasion remove images that show children in full or partial nudity. Even if this content is shared with good intentions, it may be used by others in an unintended way.

Encourage relevant and genuine interactions. In order to help us eradicate spam, do not artificially increase your Likes, post repetitive comments or content, or repeatedly contact people for commercial purposes without their consent. Do not offer or give away money in exchange for Likes, comments or other interaction. Do not post content that includes, promotes, encourages, motivates, facilitates or condones the offer, solicitation or exchange of false or misleading ratings or reviews.

You are not required to use your real name on your public profile, although we do ask that users of the platform provide us with accurate and up-to-date information. Do not impersonate someone else, or create accounts for the purpose of violating our rules or misleading others.

Follow the law. Weebu does not accept activities or individuals who support or praise terrorism, organized crime or hate groups. We also prohibit offers of sexual services, the purchase or sale of firearms, alcohol and tobacco products between individuals, and the purchase or sale of non-medicinal or pharmaceutical drugs. We also remove content that attempts to market, donate, give away or solicit non-medicinal drugs, or coordinate the marketing of non-medicinal drugs, as well as content that admits for personal use (except in a recovery context) or coordinates or promotes the use of non-medicinal drugs. The sale of live animals between individuals is also prohibited, although physical stores may publish offers of this type. It is prohibited to coordinate the sale or poaching of endangered species or their parts.

Remember to comply with the law at all times when offering to buy or sell regulated goods. Accounts promoting gambling games, real money skill games or online lotteries must obtain our written consent before using our products.

It is strictly forbidden to share sexual content, especially if it is related to minors, or to threaten to publish intimate images of other users.

Respect the rest of the members who participate in the community. We want to promote a diverse and positive community. We remove content that includes credible threats or hate speech, content directed at individuals for the purpose of humiliating or embarrassing them, as well as personal information used to blackmail or harass someone, and repeated unwanted messages. Typically, we allow more critical discussions about people who are in the news or who have a wide audience because of their profession or certain activities.

It is unacceptable to encourage violence or attack anyone on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religious belief, disability or disease. We may allow hate speech if it is shared to challenge such behavior or to raise awareness of it. In such cases, we ask that you make your intent clear.

Serious threats to public and personal safety are not permitted. These threats include specific threats to physical integrity and threats of theft, vandalism and other financial harm. We meticulously review threat reports and consider many factors in determining whether they are credible.

It helps to keep our environment safe by not encouraging self-harm. The Weebu community is a space where members take care of each other and where people with different problems, such as eating disorders, disorders or other types of self-harm, come together to raise awareness or seek mutual support.

Encouraging or urging people to self-harm is contrary to this supportive environment, and we will remove or disable accounts that receive reports of self-harm. We may also remove content that identifies victims of self-harm if it is used as an attack or taunt.

Think before posting events of interest. We realize that many people may use Weebu to share important and interesting events. But some of these events may include very graphic images. Due to the large number of different people and age groups that use Weebu, we may remove videos that contain a tremendous amount of graphic violence in order to ensure that Weebu remains appropriate for everyone.

We are aware that this type of content is often shared to condemn it or to raise awareness or provide information to other users. If you share it for this reason, we recommend that you include a caption warning that the content contains graphic violence. Under no circumstances is it allowed to share graphic images of sadistic practices or that promote violence.

If you post or share videos or any other content that includes music you need to be aware:

You are responsible for the content you publish: People use our Products to share content with their fans, family and friends. Please note that you are solely responsible for the content you post, including the music that appears in such content. Nothing in these terms constitutes authorization by us in connection with any use of music content on any of our Products.

Use of music content for specific commercial or non-personal purposes is prohibited unless you have obtained the appropriate licenses. Eligibility to receive a Percentage of Music Revenue, or participation in such percentage, does not make a video commercial.

You may not use videos on our Products to create a music-related listening experience: We want your fans, family and friends to be able to enjoy your videos. However, if you use videos on our Products to create a music-related listening experience for yourself or others, your videos may be blocked and your page, profile or group may be deleted. This includes live videos.

Unauthorized content can be removed: If you post content containing someone else’s music, the owner of the applicable rights can review it and, if they do not have proper authorization to use it, they can block, mute or remove it.

You may not be able to post or access videos that include music in every country in the world: We want you to be able to share videos with your fans, family and friends wherever they are, but even if the music content of your video is allowed, it may not be available in every country in the world.

Use the following guidelines to plan your videos:

The greater the amount of music in a video, the more likely it is to be limited.

Shorter music clips are recommended.

There should always be a visual component to your video; recorded audio should not be the primary focus.


From Weebu we encourage you to collaborate with the community to make it the environment of growth and help that we all desire:

We are all an important part of the community, if you see something that you think violates our rules, let us know using the reporting tool built into our products. We have a team that reviews these reports and works as quickly as possible to remove content that violates our rules. Even if you or someone you know doesn’t have a Weebu account, they can still submit a report. When you file a report, please provide as much information as possible, such as links, usernames and descriptions of the content, so that we can find and review it quickly. We may remove the entire post if the images or associated captions violate our rules.

You may find content that you do not like, but that does not violate the rules, if this happens, you can block the person who made the post. If you see a comment you don’t like in one of your posts, you can delete it.

Many disputes and misunderstandings can be resolved directly between community members. If another member posts one of your photos or one of your videos, you can ask them to remove it in a comment on the post. If that doesn’t work, you can file a copyright report. If you think someone is infringing on your trademark, you can also file a trademark infringement report. Do not post screenshots or draw attention to the problem, as it could be considered harassment.

We work with the police when we believe there is a risk of physical harm or threat to public safety.


5.- Permissions you grant us.

As part of our agreement, you also grant us the permissions we need to provide the Service to you.

We do not claim ownership of your content, but you grant us a license to use it – We do not claim ownership of the content you post on or through the Service, and you are free to share your content with whomever and wherever you want. However, we require you to grant us certain legal permissions or licenses to provide the Service. When you share, post or upload copyrighted content on or in connection with our Service, you hereby grant us a worldwide, sublicensable, transferable, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, use, distribute, modify, perform, copy, publicly display or publicly perform, translate and create derivative works of your content (subject to your privacy and app settings). The license will terminate once your content is removed from our systems. You can delete content individually or all at once if you delete your account.

Permission to use your username, profile picture and information about your relationships and the actions you take with accounts, ads and sponsored content – You grant us permission to display your username, profile picture and information about the actions you take such as likes, matches or your relationships with or in connection with accounts, ads, offers and other sponsored content that you follow or interact with and that are displayed on Weebu Products, without any obligation to provide you with compensation. For example, we may show that you liked a sponsored post created by a brand that paid us to display their ads. As with actions on other content and with other accounts, only people who have permission will be able to see actions taken on sponsored content and followers of sponsored accounts. We will also respect your ad settings.

You agree that we may download and install Service updates to your device.


6.- Additional rights reserved by us

If you select a username or similar identifier for your account, we may change it if we deem it appropriate or necessary, especially in cases where it infringes another person’s intellectual property rights or impersonates another user.

If you use copyrighted content that we own and include on our Service, such as images, designs, videos or sounds that we provide and that you add to the content you create or share, we reserve all rights in that content, but not yours.

You may only use our intellectual property and trademarks or any similar marks as permitted by our rules and only with express permission or with our prior written permission.

You must obtain our written permission or permission under an open source license to modify, decompile or otherwise attempt to extract our open source code, or to create derivative works from it.


Removal of content and disabling or cancellation of account

We may remove or restrict any content or information you share on the Service if we believe it violates these Terms of Use or any of our policies or operating rules, and especially if we are required to do so by law. We may refuse to provide or cease to provide all or part of the Service to you, including terminating or disabling your access to Weebu Messeger Ltd. products immediately to protect our community or services, or if you pose a risk or legal exposure to us, violate these Terms of Use or our policies, repeatedly infringe the intellectual property rights of others, or if we are required to do so by law. We may also terminate or modify the Service, remove or block content or information that has been shared on our Service, or cease providing all or part of the Service if we determine that this action is reasonably necessary to avoid or mitigate legal or regulatory repercussions that are adverse to us. In some cases where we remove content, we will notify you and explain your options for requesting another review, unless you seriously or repeatedly violate these Terms or, by doing so, we expose ourselves or others to legal liability, harm our user community, compromise the integrity or operation of or interfere with any of our services, systems or products, are restricted by technical limitations, or are prohibited from doing so for legal reasons. If you believe that your account has been terminated in error or you wish to permanently disable or delete your account, you may do so through the means provided for that purpose. When you request deletion of content or your account, the deletion process will begin automatically no more than 30 days after you submit the request. After the process is initiated, it may take up to 90 days for the content to be removed. While the removal process is underway, such content is no longer visible to other users, but remains subject to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. Once content is removed, it may take up to another 90 days to be removed from backups or disaster recovery systems.

Content will not be removed within 90 days of account deletion or initiation of the content removal process in the following cases:

Others used your content under this license and those persons did not remove it, in which case this license will continue to apply until the content is removed.

It cannot be deleted within 90 days due to technical limitations of our systems, in which case we will complete the process as soon as technically feasible.

Elimination would restrict our ability to:

investigate or identify illegal activities or violations of our terms and policies, in particular to identify or investigate misuse of our products or systems.

protect the security of our products, systems and users.

comply with a legal obligation, such as the preservation of evidence.

comply with a request from a judicial or administrative authority, law enforcement authorities or a government agency.

In this case, the content will be retained only for the time required for the purpose, the exact duration will vary from case to case.

If you delete or we disable your account, these Terms will terminate as an agreement between you and us. However, this section and Section 8 of these Terms will remain in full force and effect, even after your account is terminated, disabled or deleted.


8.- Our agreement and what happens if we do not agree with the provisions.

8.1.- Our agreement.

Your use of music on the Service is subject to compliance with our particular rules and all applicable laws, and your use of our API is subject to our terms of use and the express policy and rules for it. If you use certain other features or related services, you will have the opportunity to agree to additional terms, which will also form part of our agreement. If any of these terms conflict with this agreement, those terms will govern.

If any part of this agreement is unenforceable, the remainder shall remain in effect.

Any modification to our agreement or waiver must be in writing and signed by us. If we fail to enforce any part of this agreement, it will not be considered a waiver.

We reserve all rights not expressly granted to you.

8.2.- To whom rights are granted by virtue of this agreement: 8.1.

This agreement does not grant any rights to any third party.

You may not transfer your rights or obligations under this agreement without our consent.

Our rights and obligations may be assigned to others. Among other things, when our ownership may change, such as in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, or if required by law.

8.3.- Who assumes responsibility if something happens? –

We will use reasonable efforts to provide our Service to you and to maintain a secure and error-free environment. However, we cannot guarantee that our Service will always operate without interruption, delay or imperfection. Provided that we use reasonable efforts, we will not be liable for any losses that do not arise due to our breach of these Terms or otherwise as a result of our actions; losses that neither you nor we could not reasonably foresee at the time we agreed to these Terms; content posted by others that is offensive, inappropriate, obscene, illegal or otherwise objectionable that you may encounter on our Service; and events beyond our reasonable control.

The foregoing provision excludes and limits our liability for death, personal injury or misrepresentation caused by our negligence, and for any other activity that we are not permitted by law to perform.

8.4.- How we will resolve disputes.

If a claim or dispute arises out of or in connection with your use of the Service as a consumer, we both agree that you may settle the individual dispute or claim against us, and that we may settle the dispute or claim against you, in a court of competent jurisdiction in the country where you reside that has jurisdiction over your claim or dispute, and the laws of that country will apply, notwithstanding any conflict or choice of law rules.

If a claim or dispute arises between us in connection with your use of the Service in any other way, including, without limitation, your use of or access to the Service for business or commercial purposes, you agree that any such claim or dispute must be resolved before a court of competent jurisdiction in the UK and that the law of that country will apply, without prejudice to any conflict or choice of law rules.

8.5.- Unsolicited material.

Comments or suggestions are always welcome. However, we may use them without restriction or obligation to provide you with compensation, and we are under no obligation to keep them confidential.

9.- Updating of these Conditions

We may change our Service and policies, and we may need to update these Terms so that they accurately reflect our Services and policies. Unless otherwise required by law, we will provide you with at least 30 days’ notice before we change these Terms, and we will give you an opportunity to review the changes before they become effective. If you continue to use the Service, you will be bound by the updated Terms. If you do not want to accept these or any updated Terms, you may delete your account.

Effective date: March 1, 2024

10.- Relationship with commercial users.

If you are a “commercial user”, as defined in Article 2, paragraph 21 of Regulation (EU) 2022/1925 (“Digital Markets Act” or “DMA”), of the services of our main online social networking platform and under Article 6(12) of the DMA you should note that nothing in the Weebu Terms of Use limits any rights and remedies you may have under the DMA. This is without prejudice to any other rights or remedies you may have under these Terms of Use.

If you are a business based in the EU and you use the feature to sell products to consumers located in the EU, you should be aware of the following NOTICE in addition to these Terms of Use:

In compliance with the Platform to Business Relationship Regulation 2019/1150, hereinafter “Regulation” which came into force on 12 July 2020 and was retained in UK law following its exit from the European Union this notice is created and applies to you if you have a business based in the European Union or the United Kingdom and you use a Business Function to sell products to consumers who are located in the European Union or the United Kingdom, i.e. if you are categorized as a “Relevant Business User”.

If you are not a relevant Business User, it does not apply to you.

This Notice provides information about our practices to comply with the fairness and transparency requirements set forth in the Regulations.


Our goal is to make the products people see on our platform as interesting and useful as possible.

How we prioritize information to decide which product and service publications or which relevant commercial user we should show to people who use our platform for commercial purposes can be read below:

We may display postings of vendors’ products or services to users of the following formats or systems:

Functions that allow vendors to develop and operate online stores in or through their accounts to offer products and services through virtual showrooms and

functions using Product Postings that allow Users to connect with each other to buy and sell products and services

We want the Product Postings that Users see to be as interesting and useful as possible. When deciding which Product Postings to show to people using our trading Products we give priority to the following signals:

User Searches: When a User performs a search, we search for matches with Product Postings that are directly relevant to the conditions, options and filters selected by the User.

Interaction: based on signals related to Users’ browsing and shopping activity on Weebu Messenger Products, we suggest Product Postings in Stores that are similar to Product Postings that Users previously viewed, searched for, or purchased in Stores. We may also rely on signals from interactions with Users generally, as permitted by our data policies.

User demographics: we use signals such as the User’s age and location to display items that may be of interest to the User.

Quality of content: to measure the quality of Product Postings, we evaluate objective attributes, whether the images are of high quality and whether the description, price and availability of the information provided about the product appear to be correct and complete, among others.

User Experience: we want to show Users product postings that meet their expectations of quality and trustworthiness. For example, for sales between businesses and Users, we may consider the business’s trust signals, its rating, whether it is recognized, whether the product appears to be of high quality, and whether the price of the product is in relation to the competition. Similarly, we can consider ratings and reviews when determining the quality or trustworthiness of a seller’s Product Posting. In addition, for user-to-user sales, we consider whether the price included in a Product Posting is comparable to prices in similar Product Postings or whether we believe a price may be misleading.

Advertising: some sellers may choose to pay to convert their Product Postings into advertisements in order to increase their visibility. In such a case, Product Posts will be identified as ads. Otherwise, sellers cannot pay to increase the visibility of their Product Postings.

In addition, our algorithms weight the signals based on context. When a User clicks on a particular product Post or product category, the order of Product Posts displayed is more influenced by the User’s preferences, as these signals tend to be more focused on helping the User discover new Product Posts that are relevant or useful to them. When we display product Posts, we also take into account the User’s device. We may highlight or suggest certain vendors or Product Postings to Users in connection with seasonality, special events, particular interactions, broad consumer interests, or other factors discussed above.
