People is designed so you can meet nearby users without sharing your specific location. It shows users who are within a 10-kilometer radius of your current location.
Your privacy is protected:
- Your exact location is never shown: Other users only see that you are within the 10 km radius, not your address, street, or precise position.
- Movement cannot be tracked: Your location is not shown on a map and does not allow anyone to follow your movements.
- You appear as "in the area": Others see that you are within the 10 km radius, but they don't know in which direction or at what exact distance.
Reciprocal visibility:
- You only see and are seen by users who also have People activated.
- The 10 km radius applies equally to all users in People.
- The exact distance is displayed as "less than 10 km" to preserve your privacy.
Security by design: Weebu prioritizes your privacy. No one can know exactly where you are, only that you are within the People area.
